​I'll admit it.  I am a Star Wars nerd and proud of it!  Yoda (pictured above) is one of the most famous and recognizable characters from this mega franchise.  Not only is he a cool little Jedi Master, but has some of best one-liners around.

"Do or do not...There is no try" is one my favorites and hits home the most with me, especially related to baseball.  Ball players are told to try all the time, however this leaves a sense of doubt and if.  

It's understandable that young ball players need to "try out" the sport of baseball, however quickly the game becomes a series of decisions of "doing" or "not doing".  The quicker a ball player can trust a development process and lean on what he/she has been practicing or "doing", the quicker he/she will understand the game and get better.

Ultimately, the main point I want to get across is that when a young ball player focuses on "doing" something wholeheartedly, even if it ends up being the wrong thing to do, the faster they will learn and begin "doing the right thing" more often.
